Veteran hiring events are beyond worthless
I checked out a “Virtual Networking Event” for military and veterans the other day. I already knew these things were beyond worthless, but I guess I needed a reminder.
At these virtual events a bunch of companies pay money to the company hosting it and then get to pitch to the sad bastards in attendance that their companies exist.
The talent people from these companies will that dutifully tell you to email them or to apply on the website.
These events provide nothing of value except to allow the same two dozen companies to appear to care about hiring veterans. It’s about optics and data farming.
Skip these.
And, as always, we want to get more companies added to the Friendlies List to best service the Reservist community.
Good or bad, reach out and let us know your company’s policy. If it’s good—we want to add them to our list. If it’s bad, we want to partner and help them—and you.

Laxing a Difference for Veteran VCs
As a SOF veteran, VC, and 4 Time Tewaaraton Award winner, I was shocked and disgusted by the lack of resources out there for veterans in Venture Capital.
So I did something about it.
Vets2VC supports needy and underprivileged veteran VCs and landlords.
At Chadwick Capital, we believe they are the best of us, and they must be protected and funded at all costs.
Last week’s inaugural Chadwick Capital Special Operations Charity Lacrosse Classic during SOF Week was a resounding success, even if we can’t talk about it because it doesn’t officially exist, per government guidance.
You can still support this most noble of causes by purchasing an event tee shirt.
